Taemin’s back in the bondage closet, being dark, dangerous, and ever so enticing.
In this MV Taemin becomes the poster boy for the B&D community, and possibly the S&M community as well. It does make you wonder what was going on in his life that he’s diving right into the dungeon. And since he’s going public with this much, what on earth is he keeping secret?

Once again, it’s dark, musically, lyrically, and visually. Taemin keeps returning to themes of love, lust, and obsession, appropriate for a man who’s the living incarnation of at least one of the 7 deadly sins. I’d say it’s odd for a Catholic to be so overt about all this, except that I’ve known too many Catholics to be able to say that with a straight face.
Costumes manage to be elegant while at the same time teetering on the edge of outright bondage gear. There’s a pretty consistent theme developing with Taemin, and maybe he needs to loosen up and perhaps take up Scrabble. Although that would deprive us of the breathtaking artistry of works like this, so I take that back – don’t mind us, Taemin, just go right ahead and get down with your bad self.

The song is primal, simpler and tighter than Advice, with instrumentation mainly reduced to a strong beat that’s almost a fast pulse, pulling your own heart rate up to match. His vocals go from a controlled low purr to a desperate plaintive wail, possibly as he swings from one side of the dominance/submission fence to the other. Most of the song, though, is delivered in a seductive murmur that’s more mesmeric than any amount of dramatic belting.
If you’re a Taemin fan, or a fan of great dancing, you’ll absolutely want to watch the dance practice video, because Taemin is one of the best dancers on this or any other planet, and this is another great choreography. And as usual, he takes it seriously and works it hard. At the finish, he flashes a big grin, a hand heart, and sashays towards the camera, and suddenly he’s no longer sexy submissive Taemin from Criminal, but adorable 14-year-old debut Taemin from Replay (review to come, gentle reader).
So once again, a great dance tune, a riveting video, and a very Taemin choreography – the man has no bones and no boundaries. I just hope he has a safe word…
